By handing out narcan and naloxone to every household and addicts,  there will be no accounting on those souls who od at home or streets without an ems incident report. But will save some , better than  nothing.  Mental illness at an all time high in many areas in the nation, especially rural setting such as northern new Mexico, to include adolescent up to adult ages still there are no inpatient facilities or facility for anyone to go for immediate in patient  detoxing or inpatient mental healthcare . outpatient care is available, but many need to be taken in for evaluation and treatment , even those being arrested in county jail are very ill and need to be evaluated n treated for mental illness. Local hospital will not admit addicts for evaluation on detox or suicide attempts due to overdose, last i checked,ems revives then let them walk away,  maybe I am mistaken, but last time I tried taking in three seeking help, they were turned away. Hope n praying this has changed, but i believe not.  The mental state hospital should step in and accept these souls n transported to las Vegas nm, for further evaluation . Thing is now we are seeing more youth on the streets, and where do they go.  I seem to have become very unpopular with those working on the drug epidemic or problem due to my opinionated persona. many non profits poping up, but still no reassurances on in patient facility. Maybe I am wrong , maybe there is a plan , just have not been notified or heard on what that plan is on the streets,  or otherwise.I will no longer be asking or mentioning the fact I am not being invited or contacted by the leadership, rather i believe leadership should come out in public and advise the voting public and citizens what their plan maybe. Much time has passed with no communication and I'm ok with this. Miss grishom did reach out and that in in itself was good enough , for the rest are in aww or hummm.On the other side of the spectrum with the indigent , the elders , the homeless and addicts, as well as the youth, i  have become well respected and loved. Even in drug homes and streets i have been well received in regards to defending the addict  and prayed for in their circles for they or many understand the importance of sobriety, and keeping their offspring alive, I still ask and pray for  dealers of all walks of life  to stop and or slow their dealing or bad behaviors  down. I did not start this mission as a popularity contest, but if I am to be accepted by anyone , I choose those WHO support my efforts, for i am trully on their side and the future of our people. More drugs , more syringes is not the answer, a bandaid of sorts, and surly better than aids, n more iv use disease, and suboxin n methadone  better  than heroin n meth, but many getting and are hooked on these drugs as well, and being dispensed at high doses, n not cut down gradually like it should be. In my opinion,that is not well accepted,  seems like they are either lost on solutions or they want more of the same in a different way.just don't know,  so your guess as good as mine.all i can say is the people needing help many of them are ready.
