A year has passed since this petition and overwhelming support from our community pressured the city to cancel their plans to put Astro turf in our beloved “TF”. Through organizing we were able to make our voices heard and preserve a very important space for our neighborhood. This Monday, we will celebrate by bringing the “Uncle Leroy sidewalk sale” to Tompkins to raise money for our favorite at-risk local businesses as well as BLM causes.
