Update:
Miss Universe Malaysia Organization (MUMO) has removed Samantha Katie James’ photograph and description on their main page list of winners, along with 100 Instagram posts about her, leaving only few evidences of James’ participation and winning.

We are glad to see MUMO taking the step to the right direction in cutting the ties with her as much as possible, and we hope they continue their opposition to ignorance, racism and prejudice.

Many, if not all of James’ posts affiliated with brands have their captions and tags removed. Whether upon the affiliated brands’ decisions or her own, hopefully this allows her to reflect more onto her ignorance, words and mindset.

Do not comment unnecessarily with insults. These insults missed the point of the petition: which is to denounce her ignorance and remarks towards a specific current issue by stripping her of her crown and title.

Do start a conversation and call out her ignorance, remarks and her lack of apology. We can condemn her ignorant remarks without resorting to cyber bullying her.

Educate, not hate.
