The Miss America Board of Directors—including Dan Meyers who engaged in the defamatory emails about former Miss Americas— is still intact. Today, the New York Post reported that 'a complete board exodus would mean the end of the organization.' This is categorically false. The former Miss Americas have collectively voted to propose Gretchen Carlson as the Interim Chairwoman of the Board of Directors. With this, the formers have agreed to vote for 3 additional former Miss Americas to fill seats. According to the by-laws, with four board seats filled by former Miss Americas, the remaining members of the board can and should immediately resign.
