We're Making Progress: A New Chapter for Mobile Barbering in Minnesota!
Thank you to everyone who has signed and shared our petition on Change.org. We're getting closer to making mobile barbershops a reality in Minnesota, and your support is a critical part of that journey.
This month, we demonstrated the power of mobile barbering by giving back to our community. We partnered with The JK Movement for a back-to-school event on August 23rd and teamed up with The Sanneh Foundation for a barbershop and backpack event on August 25th. These events were a huge success, and they showed exactly why we need to make this practice legal—to provide essential services where they are needed most.
Legislative Momentum
We've seen significant progress at the Minnesota State Capitol. Legislation has been introduced to authorize and regulate mobile barbershops, which would finally allow us to provide services legally. The key bills moving through the legislature are HF 2126 in the House and SF 885 in the Senate. These bills are a major step forward, as they define mobile shops, establish registration requirements, and set fees, bringing legitimacy to our vision.
We Need Your Help: A Call to Action
The next step is to get these bills passed, and that requires support from key decision-makers. We need to get more lobbyists on board to advocate for our cause and help push this legislation across the finish line.
What you can do:
* Share this page: Keep sharing the petition with your friends, family, and social networks to show legislators the public support for our movement.
* Contact your representatives: If you haven't already, please reach out to your local representatives and urge them to support HF 2126 and SF 885.
* Spread the word: Tell everyone you know about the great work we're doing and the positive impact legalizing mobile barbershops will have on our communities.
