On Monday May 25, 2020 George Floyd lost his life at the hands of 4 Minneapolis police officers he later died at the hospital after he was detained by officers near the intersection of 38th Street and Chicago Avenue South. He was unarmed. A video shows bystander looking on and video tapping one of the officers pinning Floyd to the ground and pressing his knee into his neck as George repeats that he cannot breathe. George eventually goes unconscious, all the while the officer continues to hold his knee to George’s  neck until an ambulance arrives.  Mayor Jacob Frey supports the chief’s decision to terminate the officers. The officers were called to the scene because it was stated that George had committed a crime of forgery.  Since his murder the four officers have been fired but we need more for George Floyd. This is a senseless act and justice need to be served. No person should die at the hands of a police officer in this way! This was a heartless, racist and pure evil act upon another man of color!
