A massive thank you to every single person that has shared the petition so far - The numbers are still rising, and you are part of an amazing team of 33000, I am so incredibly proud to be at this point.

At present we have our advisory board working on the best way forward, this is made up of specialists from not only Pelvic Health areas but mental health, maternal health and general health, as well as other legends that have a genuine interest in making sure that this petition is not only listened too but also acted upon. Pelvic Health for women has so many dimensions and its important that we look at all of them so we can get a great plan in place.

On average 160 babies are born a day in NZ, 58000+ (census 2018) babies a year, and around 52 women a day that will be affected by incontinence from either their Bladder or Bowel or also suffer life long birth effects that may cause them to suffer not only physically but mentally, which means their families might suffer along with them.

You can still help - You can keep sharing, use your platforms no matter how big or small and be the voice that your friends and families need to understand that women need better, you can keep talking and most of all you can keep letting your friends know that there are options and that it is never to late to seek help from your doctor and to keep searching for answers and quality rehabilitation because that should be available for all those that need it. The message is growing and that is the most important part of this petition - awareness that services like physiotherapy do exist.

To the amazing people that took part in this article we see you and we hear you - to the amazing women that are suffering in silence we also see you - we know you are there and we care.

Kia kaha, kia maia, kia manawanui (Be strong, be brave, be steadfast)

Regards

Kirsty x
