Abolish 1/2 inch hair rule in Queens College Guyana

The Issue

The Queen College 1/2 inch hair rule is one that was important and played it's role back in the 1900s, when boys of the school were still being chosen to go to fight in the World wars. Now you see one prerequisite of almost any army squadron that you want to join is to have hair cut down to 1/2 of an inch, so therefore it was understandable that the the school would want to bypass a step and have its boys army ready as soon as possible. This is a different time period though, one where the uniformistic ideology behind this rule is scorned upon. We now live in a day and age where a person's hair is one of the key factors to building ones personality. Now I understand  that it's still a school and some sort of regulation should be put in place, that's why we are not asking for a total abolishment of hair laws, we are asking for the right to keep our hair at any length, once we can maintain it in a proper fashion, without an extravagance. This rule is also a strain on some families financial situation, as they have to cut their hair sometimes even twice a week, so we, the undersigned are pleading with you to remove this regulation.
