Give yourselves a pat on the back - 20 hectares of off-leash park!

We did it! - 20 hectares confirmed off-leash space in Callan Park, plus the dog beach where are dogs love to play in the water! Pat yourselves on the back! We couldn't have achieved this without your signature on our petition.
Although the result isn't perfect, we have achieved a major victory, and I attach a map of the park which shows the newly allocated on and off leash areas, the highlights of which are:
- 20 hectares out of a total of 38 hectares managed by the Greater Sydney Parklands group will be off-leash
- our much loved dog beach will be off-leash 
- a large part of Kirkbride Gardens, where dog groups love to meet because it is in a grassy dell, will be off-leash
- a new fenced and gated off-leash area that can be used by owners of nervous dogs or who want to train pups or do agility exercises
-  the provision of bins, poo bag dispensers and water bubblers
But we need your continued support. There are dog haters who even now are campaigning to erode this new plan. We will keep you posted.
