Holy Trinity Preschool CommunityAustralia

Our voices are becoming more public, with the Manly Daily running a story on our plight entitled "CHURCH BANISHES PRESCHOOL KIDS"!
See http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/newslocal/northern-beaches/closure-fears-for-preschool-as-lease-not-renewed/story-fngr8hax-1227334716088 for the full story.
Sadly, Minister Richard Mason still clings to his defensive and contradictory position that he plans for "groups that will benefit our community".
The Preschool already does this very effectively, supporting the smallest and most vulnerable members of our society, yet we are being kicked out.
There is a distinct lack of vision and leadership being shown.
It is important to state that Richard Mason did not have any discussion with the Preschool about our eviction. There was no “long deliberation”.
In fact the Preschool committee met with the Parish Council in late March and they assured us that despite seeking to nearly double our rent for 2016, they were not looking to close the preschool.
Perhaps their “vision” is a bit hazy around the true facts?
A good leader listens to their community, and works with them to create a better future.
Prime Minister Tony Abbott said only 2 days ago "It is very important that as many young Australians as possible, don’t just go to childcare, but they have preschool as well.”
Right now over 1600 people have spoken against this decision.
Minister Richard Mason and the Parish Council, please reconsider your choice before it is too late.
