Thank you so much to everyone who has taken the time to sign this petition and share! I truly hope there is time for the bear to be helped. It is unfortunate that a policy is standing in the way. The next step would be to urge the Alberta Government to update this policy. The Alberta Government has strict rules on petitions and I am now finding out that they do not consider e-petitions to be "in order". They require persons to be residents of Alberta and for signatures to be original. I will be working on a way to collect these signatures for this bear and for a request for policy to be revisited. I will update you when there is a plan in place. For now - I hope that each time one of the decision makers receives notification a person has signed the petition, they will realize this is a matter that needs to be addressed.
