Petition updateDisclose safety test records of GlyphosateLabelling of GMO - a letter written to my MP

Bill C-291, for labelling of GMO foods, got defeated in the Canadian parliament. All the conservatives and most of the liberals voted to defeat labelling. Bloc Québécois, the Green Party and a handful of liberals voted in favour of labelling.
My own MP and federal minister Carla Qualtrough voted against the bill. I wrote her a letter yesterday about it, and told her what I feel about it and what I consider now to be my duty as a citizen to alert the voters, where our elected representatives essentially violate their constitutional duty, do not gauge the wish of the people, and assume dictatorial powers to make unilateral decisions on what the people should or should not know about their food.
In the attached 5 minute video I read the letter out.
I have received a note back from the office of the minister and MP, informing me that a response will be sent to me between 2-4 weeks. I look forward to it.
Meanwhile, this update is to circulate the letter and to encourage people to check with their own representatives on what authority they voted on the bill, where they may not have consulted with the people on this and other bills, and in essence corrupted the political process.
