Time to move to a global platform for testing glyphosate, here in Canada, and in USA and everywhere else. But first, we have come far, in our effort to highlight issues with glyphosate. However, the safety documents on glyphosate, despite our repeated, concentrated and multi pronged effort to get our government to disclose them and place them in public domain, remain out of sight for the people.
Apart from this one, there is a second petition, this time created at the Canadian Parliament House of Commons e-petition platform, covering the same issue. It is open now, but will close on November 22nd, this year. Only Canadian citizens and legal residents are allowed to support it. The House of Commons is supposed to look at it after it closes and hopefully respond to the request that the safety test data on glyphosate be made public. Whether the House will or will not act on it, we do not know. If you are a citizen or resident of Canada, and have not signed it, you could consider signing. It has less than 1300 supporters till date. Link : https://petitions.parl.gc.ca/en/Petition/Details?Petition=e-413 I also have an ongoing case with Health Canada on the Access To Information (ATI) platform, for the government to release to me all the safety test report and data, based on which it approved the use of glyphosate. Needless to say, the government is dragging its feet here as well. We did not even have labs in Canada two years ago, that would test our food for glyphosate. But that has changed. Labs are now appearing in Canada that will test various kinds of food for presence of glyphosate. It is therefore time, our government started testing our food and making the results public, so the people can see how much glyphosate is found in which kinds of food and be guided accordingly.
A new petition - to test our food.

To this end, I created a fresh petition, addressed at multiple parties who are all potential decision makers, to consider starting a scheme to test locally grown or sold food for presence of glyphosate, and to make the results public. The target parties to whom the new petition will approach are more than one. They are many. Any level of local government, healthcare service or other entity that can use public funds to test food for public knowledge, is a potential decision maker. As of now, I have entered the Ministers of Health Canada and Agriculture Canada - two federal institutions. I have also added Premiers of British Columbia and Alberta, heads of two provinces in Canada, as well as their chief health or medical officer. I have also added the CEO of Fraser health, a main healthcare provider in British Columbia.

I am waiting to enter more decision makers from all other provinces of Canada, and will appreciate help from supporters that would send me names, ranks and email addresses of such potential decision makers from all corners of Canada. This is not just for Canada. This is for the world.

That is not all. This petition need not be restricted to within Canada only. As long as change.org does not put a limit on how many decision makers can be attached to a single petition, we are ready to include potential decision makers from USA or any other country. So, if you know the details of a US governor, or someone else like the heads of EPA or FDA or others that should be able to test food for glyphosate and make results public, and send the details to me, I am happy to include them as decision makers too. Same applies to all other countries.

All the decision makers would get an automatic email from change.org every time the support base crosses a milestone such as 500, or a thousand etc. Please watch the 18 minute video and consider stepping on to the next stage, or a global initiative for the people, to take back decision making on testing our food for glyphosate. If you have a comment, feel free to make it here or send me a note.
Thank you.
