As founder-signatories of this petition, let's spread this far and wide.

Our country is much wealthier than our current bank account shows. We are leaving money on the table needlessly while so many areas of our public life have gone to rot: schools, roads, hospitals, telecommunications, fibre optics, wireless communications, etc.

No wonder Singapore, Hong Kong and others surpassed us, even though we were richer than them at Independence, throughout the 1970s, and even in the early 1980s.

We should be so much richer than we actually are. We must stop this slackness.
