We might have achieved one small win in our campaign in the last week, and it is for Minister Green to say the following :
“PrEP is good. I understand it saves lives. We are looking forward to offering it to the wider population, including the 2,200 people who don’t have any health benefits. We will do this, but we’re not doing it on your schedule.” — Health and Social Services Minister Julie Green
HIV transmission has no schedule
I know too well that things can get derailed in government if we don't keep pushing. We have the Minister's attention now, let's keep the pressure up!
This is how you can help us :
1. Chip in $5 if you can;
2. Fill Minister Green's inbox— let her know that it is unacceptable to not deploy all the tools in the toolbox to fight against HIV transmission; follow this link : julie_green@gov.nt.ca
3. Express your concerns in the GNWT engagement survey here before November 4, and tell them we need free PrEP for all Northerners now : https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/6HGMSTT
Thank you for your help! Your continued pressure is essential for us to achieve a win on this campaign!
Best,
Will
