Dear supporter, This update is slightly longer than usual as we have lots to share since we were last in touch. First and foremost, our baby daughter, Eden, was born at the end of May. It’s been a wonderful, but demanding time for us, so apologies for the delay in providing an update. Whilst we’ve been busy with Eden, the wider campaign for Equal Civil Partnerships has been gearing up with the arrival of campaign manager, Ava Lee, and the launch of the Equal Civil Partnerships campaign website. The website is the product of lots of hard work and makes it much easier for you to get involved: • You can provide quotes and photos for the website – some of the best are already online. • You can take an #equalcivilpartnerships selfie and submit it to selfie@equalcivilpartnerships.org.uk for display on the website. Then please share a link to the campaign website with sympathetic friends and family. • You can send a letter to your MP to tell them why civil partnerships should be open to all, regardless of sex or sexual orientation, and ask them to get on board. • You can follow the campaign on Twitter and like it on Facebook. • You can also find out more information and the latest updates about the legal case. In short, the hearing date and ruling are expected this Autumn. We’re also really relieved to announce that the court has revised the cost cap and we’ve received some great financial backing, so we have been able to reduce our funding appeal accordingly. • Please check the GoFundMe page and website for more information, and consider giving or giving more, if you can. Finally, there will be more actions and updates over the summer but, in the meantime, feel free to email any questions and feedback to hello@equalcivilpartnerships.org.uk We hope you like the work that has been done to date and thank you for your ongoing support. With warm wishes, Rebecca and Charles
