Amnesty International just released a report, urging us to take immediate action on behalf of Abdeljalil Laaroussi and the other human rights defenders in the Gdeim Izik-group. In short, Amnesty suggests we write to Moroccan authorities and to our own embassies, urging Morocco to: - Ensure access to adequate medical care - Ensure detention conditions conform to international standards, and that the Gdeim Izik-group is transferred to prisons near their family in Western Sahara - all in keeping with the Mandela Rules. - Ensure that no reprisals are made against hunger strikers.
