Fate lends a hand!

My life has taken a sudden turn and I am no longer pursuing a Disability Support Pension. I have been elected to local government and have also secured a casual teaching position. So no I haven't been miraculously cured of my congenital condition. I have been just lucky enough to gain meaningful employment that meet my work capacity. There are still so many desperate people out there needing support though that may not have the same opportunities as me and these people need help. Whether it be better and more accurate job capacity assessments or counselling to give them confidence to believe they can work. We (the disabled) also need job providers to realise the competitive nature of finding a job today and that people with disabilities are still discriminated against in subtle none provable ways! My last words on this is have faith, believe in yourself and NEVER give up!
