The area of Swords, North County Dublin, has two primary Irish language schools with no local Irish langauge secondary school for these children to attend. 
It is time for these children to be catered for locally. Many children from these primary schools did not get a place in an Irish language school for next September. This means they will have to join the waiting lists of the English language schools in their area, which are also stretched to capacity. 
a local Irish language school will ease the burden on the other schools in the area, while also catering for the Irish language needs of the people from this area.

This is not just a local problem, this is a national issue with wider ramifications to the Irish speaking community, to Irish speaking families and to our language, culture and heritage as a whole. Please support this issue and show the department of education that we will fight for our rights and what is rightfully ours.
