Noise impacts associated with Heathrow expansion.

Put simply, Heathrow expansion means more planes, new flight paths and more noise.

  • Up to 2.2 million people could face increased aircraft noise if Heathrow expands.
  • Over 300,000 people will be exposed levels of noise that causes significant annoyance (according to the DfT) for the first time.
  • The vast majority of them will be unaware that their daily environment could be about to fundamentally change

Aircraft noise is a public health issue. Evidence shows higher risks of heart disease, stroke, sleep disturbance, and cognitive harm for children.

We need your help to ensure more people are aware of the risk of increased noise pollution over their community.
