Response from Mike Leigh

This afternoon Mike Leigh replied to our Open Letter. Here is his answer: "During my sixteen years as Chairman of LFS, I have from time to time disappeared to make one of my feature films, of which there have been six over this period. This year, 2016, preparation for my next movie has meant that since the beginning of January all aspects of my role as Chairman have been in the very capable hands of the Deputy Chair, Margaret Matheson. Margaret and I have discussed the Open Letter from the Alumni. She will respond to it appropriately in due course, and she will be very happy to meet some of you again. I have complete faith not only in Margaret and the whole LFS Board, but also in Jane Roscoe, who has my full support. Mike Leigh"
