Syskonen Astor 4 år och Elsa 2 år kommer snart att tvingas skiljas från sin mamma Christalline på obestämd tid. Christalline är gift med barnens svenske pappa Joel, men hennes ansökan om uppehållstillstånd har avslagits i alla instanser och hon utvisas till sitt hemland Filippinerna. Senast den 15:e mars tvingas hon lämna sin make och 2 barn i Sverige, allt detta mitt under pågående pandemi.
“Statens intresse av att reglera invandringen i detta fall väger tyngre än ditt och Joel Larssons intresse av att utöva familjeliv i Sverige” står att läsa i Migrationsverkets utvisningsbeslut. Två svenska barns rättigheter kränks å det grövsta när Sverige skiljer dem från sin mamma, utan att veta när de kommer kunna återförenas. På Migrationsverkets hemsida har man kunnat läsa att handläggningstiden för att söka uppehållstillstånd från Filippinerna via Bangkok är 17 till 23 månader. Det finns alltså inte något sätt för Christalline att få uppehållstillstånd utan att familjen splittras under lång tid.
I en artikel som Aftonbladet skrivit om familjens situation står följande: "Migrationsverket bedömer inte barnen som unga nog för att hon ska få ansöka om uppehållstillstånd i Sverige och vara med dem i väntan på ett beslut.”. När familjen flyttade från Filippinerna till Sverige var Elsa enbart 9 månader gammal.

Vi kan tillsammans sätta ner foten och visa att det är fullkomligt vansinnigt att två barn snart kommer att slitas ifrån sin mamma, bara för att Migrationsverket anser att hon måste ansöka om uppehållstillstånd från sitt hemland. Kanske kan vi få Migrationsverket att ändra sitt beslut, om vi är tillräckligt många som skriver under!

The siblings Astor 4 years old and Elsa 2 years old will soon be separated from their mother Christalline. Christalline is married to the children's Swedish father Joel, but her application for a residence permit has been rejected in all instances and she is being deported to her home country, the Philippines. No later than March 15, she is forced to leave her husband and 2 children in Sweden, all in the middle of the ongoing pandemic.
"The state's interest in regulating immigration in this case outweighs yours and Joel Larsson's interest in practicing family life in Sweden" reads the Swedish Migration Board's deportation decision. The rights of two Swedish children are violated in the worst way when Sweden separates them from their mother, without knowing when they will be able to be reunited. On the Swedish Migration Agency's website, one can read that the processing time for applying for a residence permit from the Philippines via Bangkok is 17 to 23 months. So there is no way for Christalline to get a residence permit without the family splitting up for a long time.
An article written by Aftonbladet about the family's situation states the following: "The Swedish Migration Board does not assess the children as young enough for her to apply for a residence permit in Sweden and be with them pending a decision.". When the family moved from the Philippines to Sweden, Elsa was only 9 months old and still nursing.

How do you explain to your children that no one knows when they will see their mother again?
I ask you to sign this petition for Christalline Santos Larsson and her family! Together we can put our foot down and show that it is completely insane to separate two children from their mother, just because the Swedish Migration Board think that she must apply for a residence permit from her home country. Maybe we can get the Swedish Migration Agency to change their decision, if there are enough of us who sign!
