Don't close Lionhead Studios
Today is a very sad day for all Fable Fans. Microsoft decided to cancel the development of Fable Legends and to close Lionhead Studios.

"Today we announced that we have made the difficult decision to cease development on Fable Legends, and are in discussions with employees about the proposed closure of Lionhead Studios. These decisions were not made lightly, nor do they reflect the talent of the studio, rather they are taking effect as Microsoft Studios continues to focus its investment and development on the games and franchises that fans find most exciting and engaging to play." Here you can read some poignant thoughts regarding Fable Legends.
"A dark day for equality & diversity in gaming happened the day before International Woman’s Day. The cancellation of Fable Legends and the proposed closure of Lionhead Studios represents, in my humble opinion, one of the biggest blows to the cause for having women and minorities better represented in videogames. For years we’ve been hearing the call for less first-person shooters with stoic white male leads and shoehorned token female characters. We need more strong female characters in gaming and better diversity. And Fable Legends has that by the bucket load. (...)
This total cancellation of what is an almost complete game is a stupid brain-dead and extremely short sighted move. It shows little regard for the gamers who have been waiting for Fable Legends and is down-right disrespectful towards all the people who worked on it to date. It puts Microsoft and the Xbox brand reputation in an even worse light than it was before. (...)" Read more

Please don't close Lionhead Studios and continue the development on the cross-platform-game Fable Legends.
It's so sad that so many people still have a poor understanding of the complete picture. Fable Legends in it's completed state would be story driven. We'd have little things to do on the side and it would fulfill the requirements to call itself Fable, even though it became a multiplayer focused version. So many people didn't read all the dev comments and discussion about the current state of the game and what was waiting in the wings to come. The closed beta was to protect the game from people jumping to conclusions, but too many people (testers and non-testers) still managed to jump to incorrect conclusions (from an incomplete game or from a game they didn't ever play, respectively).
If more beta testers just read all the info in the closed beta forums there wouldn't be so many people trashing the game because they "tried it and were so disappointed" after playing it a few hours because they didn't understand what features just weren't in place yet. If more people were open minded and trusted Lionhead to take the project Microsoft gave them and inject the qualities of Fable people like within the constraints dictated, people wouldn't be making horrible assumptions about what the game would be in its released state.
There's still so much ignorance out there and it's sad that people don't understand what they'll miss. No game is for everyone and Fable Legends is no exception there, but it irks me to the core when criticism doesn't align with the reality of what the game would be.
Please continue the development on the outstanding cross-platform-game Fable Legends.
