Imagine a world where women and girls could go online without worrying about being targeted for abuse. Being able to use the internet free from fear of rape threats, harassment or ex-boyfriends sharing sexual images without consent shouldn’t be wishful thinking.

We shouldn't have to imagine what our online spaces could be like free from abuse - the new Online Safety Bill should make this a reality.

Today, on Safer Internet Day, join us in calling for an Online Safety Bill that protects women and girls from online abuse. Use this link to tweet, email or contact your MP on Facebook asking them to support our call!

Your support is making a difference!

The government has announced it is strengthening the upcoming online safety law by ensuring social media companies proactively deal with certain types of abuse and that perpetrators are held accountable by law. This includes new criminal offences for technology-related domestic abuse and image-based sexual abuse (so-called ‘revenge porn’). But this does not go far enough and we won’t stop until all forms of violence against women and girls are addressed in the law.

By joining thousands of others in this campaign, you’ve stood up to the government and tech companies and shown that we will not stand by while this abuse continues unchecked. Help us keep up the momentum by sharing this petition and encouraging others to sign so we can show the government just how many of us want an online safety law to protect women and girls.
