Stop FWC's "Closing Apalachicola Bay" Proposal

Stop FWC's "Closing Apalachicola Bay" Proposal
Please help stop the closure of Apalachicola Bay. The Florida Wildlife Commission is proposing to close Apalachicola Bay for the next 5 years.
There are many large areas of Apalachicola Bay that have been left untouched by oyster harvesters for the last several years. These areas have shown little improvement. Mother Nature...opens and closes our Bay naturally. What should be done is money and resources should be used to find our what is killing our oysters.
If this is proposal is allowed to go through, It will have a detrimental effect on the livelihood of oyster harvesters. The stipulations of the red tape included in this proposal could open the door to the termination of the future of commercial and recreational oyster harvesting.
It is unclear what the "management plan" is as well as the fine print that may be attached. Pushing this proposal through at such a short notice without the feedback or endorsement of commercial fisherman does not allow the time to exercise our First Amendment Rights of the Constitution of the United States of America.
If you are in favor of keeping Apalachicola Bay open, please sign this petition and let your voice be heard by getting in touch with
