Georgia has been on a pro European path for quite a while now, and it has done a lot of changes for that. The results were quite good. One of the good things that happened was low cost airline, WizzAir started operating in Kutaisi International Airport in 2012, and Kutaisi became one of WizzAir’s 27 base cities in 2016. It means Georgian market is rapidly developing and demand on cheap flights gets higher time by time. That made Kutaisi airport very popular. Cheap flights made Europe accessible for the region as well as it made the region more accessible for Europe. Recently, Georgia accomplished a visa free regime with Europe which becomes active at the end of March 2017, due to that, ticket prices got a lot higher, compared to past, making it difficult for people to travel for the low cost, and making the "low cost travel" not so low cost. Our wish is to bring Ryanair to Kutaisi airport to have better access to visa free Europe, and to keep developing the region, Georgia, along with it’s neighbors.
