The Market has been a Denver landmark and locally owned business for 37 years. The Market and its employees have served Denver's community through its gourmet deli, bakery, and the FIRST espresso bar "between New York and Los Angeles." I, like so many Denverites, have many fond memories of The Market. In high school it was the spot to go after school for a hot chocolate on rainy and snowy days. Anyone who has been to The Market knows how special it is - you can feel it when you walk over the worn wooden threshold. 

Right now, we all feel a little helpless. But this is a way we can give back to our beloved city and save one of the greatest local businesses on the planet (not a hyperbole, I am certain). The Market's owner, Mark Greenberg, has decided to retire, and while we are so excited for him to begin this next chapter in his life, we hope that we can work with him to find a way to keep The Market open for years to come.
