ASK the City of Miami Commission to VOTE YES ON ITEM 5883 At the June 13th City Commission Meeting.

The mission of the Historic Virginia Key Beach Park Museum/ Cultural Center is to enhance the public's understanding of the civic activism which served to create it, and the environmental attributes which sustain the place we revere as "Paradise Renewed".

“Key Points”

1. The citizens of Miami-Dade County voted in 2004 to fund the Historic Virginia Key Beach Park Master Plan in the amount of $15.5M.

2.  The Virginia Key Beach Park Trust (VKBPT) has recommended a funding plan which involves using revenue created on Virginia Key, to fund projects on the island.

3. In order to secure the release of the $15.5M in General Obligation Bond Funds and $5M in Convention Development Tax funds, the City Commissioners must vote "YES" on the June 13th legislative Item #5883.
