As a lot of you will be aware, The Corrin Memorial Home in Peel is facing closure in July this year. 

The Corrin Home has been the home to hundreds of elderly people since it opened it 1956, making it not only the only residential home in the West of the Island but it’s a historical building. Our residents age range is between 70-99 and they  have all been told they are going to be moved to different care homes across the Isle Of Man. Most of these residents have lived in Peel all their lives, is moving them out of their hometown really fair? 

A big change like this can be very detrimental to the elderly’s health, this is not a risk we are willing to take. Our lovely residents are a family to us, which is why we are so determined to fight to keep the Corrin Home open. 

We need as many signatures as we possible to raise awareness and show government and local MHK’s just how much support we have and how many people are in agreement that we cannot lose such a historical, much loved and family like Care Home.
