The Fix Is In

RED FLAG...RED FLAG...something is wrong! The whole Special Improvement District process, although legal, appears to be rigged behind the scenes. How can the approval of the transfer of $600,000 of citizen of Metuchen money from the Metuchen Parking Authority to the Borough of Metuchen for the Metuchen Downtown Alliance take place with no citizen vote! The outcome, funding a new bureaucracy with a 50% overhead, is not in the best interest of the citizens and small business owners in Metuchen. This ordinance is being rammed through. Look at it on the www.metuchen.org website: click "Government", click "Council Agendas & Minutes," and click "April 18, 2016 Revised" in the "Current Agendas & Minutes." Have you ever seen so much red lettering in an ordinance with lines crossed out? RED FLAGS!!!!!! Get out in the open and let your VOICE and OPINION be heard.
