TELL METRO COUNCIL: PASS PARTY VEHICLE LEGISLATION BEFORE SOMEONE ELSE GETS HURT
Last week, Council Member Freddie O’Connell introduced legislation to allow Nashville to regulate ALL of the trash that rolls around on Lower Broad and create common sense safety standards to make Nashville’s party vehicles safer for residents and visitors alike. So far, it has 17 co-sponsors. That’s a great start but not enough. We need a clear majority of Metro Council’s 40 members, support of Vice Mayor Jim Shulman, and ultimately Mayor John Cooper to make sure we send a clear message that we are done being a playground for recklessness, unsafe party vehicles.

If you want to get involved and tell Metro Council to pass the party vehicle legislation, you have two options:
1) Send an email: Go to our website and send an email telling Metro Council to pass this necessary legislation! All you need to do is sign your name and hit ‘send,’ but if you want to share your story, please do!
2) Show up 10/5: Join us on October 5th at 6:30 p.m. at the Metro Courthouse to tell your council member in person why they should support this common sense legislation.

Our coalition represents downtown residents and business owners, the people who work downtown and the people who play downtown, native Nashvillians and those who just recently started calling Nashville home. If we want to keep the party rolling in a safe, fun way, we need to send a clear message to our local and state leaders that we should have a say for what party vehicles are on our streets instead of watching as our visitors, residents, and reputation gets run over.
