The Pakistani diaspora in Singapore strongly, and unequivocally, condemns the inhumane act of violence at a private factory in Sialkot that led to the tragic death of Priyantha Kumara Diyawadana, a Sri Lankan citizen working in Pakistan.

We implore our brothers and sisters in Sri Lanka to know that there is no place for fanaticism and violence in Pakistani society and the miscreants behind this barbaric act are black sheep who do not represent the peace-loving people of Pakistan, nor the teachings of the religion of Islam.

No amount of regret can return Brother Priyantha to his family. Our hearts are hurting, and our heads are bowed down. We send our heartfelt condolences to the entire nation of Sri Lanka, and especially to the family of Brother Priyantha.
