Dear friends,
Last week, a tragic situation unfolded. A "triple-decker" trailer transporting 239 pigs to market crashed on a BC highway at about 1am. It took hours for the truck driver and RCMP to round up and help the pigs as best they could, many of whom were injured or dying. Please sign the petition asking that the Canadian Food Inspection Agency create a MANDATORY emergency response plan to help injured and dying farm animals who are victims of transport truck road accidents.
