A common policy across the Green Party, Liberal Democrats, the Scottish Green Party, the SNP and the Labour Party can unite voters to bring in a lasting and dramatic change to the economy of the United Kingdom.
Universal Basic Income is just such a policy. Provision of UBI acknowledges the wealth of the state is the people and their abilities, and not cash in coffers or on digital spreadsheets. A Universal Basic Income gives the stability and the security for people to regain confidence and the space to develop and share their talents without worrying if they are able to survive or pay essential bills. UBI gives back dignity and power to many who feel they are undervalued and overlooked. UBI expresses the heart of the nation. Surely, the survival of all citizens is the first priority of a government, and citizens can unite to vote in the provision of Universal Basic Income, which does just that.
