Hello all,

I plan to table your petition tonight at our July meeting of Council.

You are welcome to attend in-person and sit in the chamber to view the meeting.

Fortunately for you, the petition section of the meeting is usually in the first 30 minutes of the meeting so you are able to leave immediately after if you do not want to stay and hear other matters.

The meeting will take place at 7pm tonight at the Melton Civic Centre on High Street, Melton. Enter via the main front doors.

Once the petition is tabled, it will be subject to a future council report on the matter.

I will provide more details on when the report is ready so you are able to attend in person again and hear the report being delivered.

Finally, as a resident you have the right to submit a public question to be read out during the meeting. However, you only have until 5pm to submit your question - it can be about any council matter at all, and the relevant department manager will respond to your question.
