Colin is a 58 year old man, with the mental brain age of a 3 year old,  his mum and dad have kept him at his home address for 43 years he has lived there, his dad passed in 2009 and sadly his mum and best friend passed in Nov 2021

His full time carer and his niece moved into the property as Colin needs care 24.7

Medway Council are trying to take back the only safe space he knows and put him in accommodation by himself.

he can not cook, clean, dress, wash or toilet himself. They expect him to have his own shopping and cooking and stuff done. What 3 year old do you know can do that!!!

He has been in that home safe and cared for all these years and while trying to come to terms in his own way of his mum not coming back and the changes of people there they now want him out, he will not cope with that.

He requires 24.7 care by familiar people. Us his family.

He has medication every day for epelipsy too and is prone to melt downs often.

We have counciller Dan mcdonald helping us but we need all the support we can get to keep Colin in his home and show medway Council how unreasonable, unsympathetic and uncaring they are being while our family mourns the loss of a member and takes on new responsibilities in looking after Colin.
