Hacemos un llamamiento a todos los ciudadanos que denuncien casos de maltrato de animales y también de aves donde sea que se encuentren. Si encuentra personas o vecinos que quieren lastimar a un pájaro por considerarlo una plaga, no lo permita. Dañar cualquier tipo de animal es abuso. Todos tenemos derecho a denunciar legalmente, como también explicó la policía local de Dénia.
Todas las especies están protegidas por la Ley: Código Penal para la protección de la fauna y la flora, artículos 332 a 337, Ley 4. Los animales están protegidos por la ley y nadie puede o tiene derecho a dañarlos.
Las gaviotas vienen a nuestras costas para anidar, pero luego, cuando sus crías crecen y aprenden a volar, se van a hibernar en ciudades más distantes, por lo que no hay necesidad de dañarlas o capturarlas. Las colonias se pueden controlar, ya que se realizan métodos más avanzados en otras ciudades de España que no les causan ningún sufrimiento. Las gaviotas son agradables y dan belleza al Castillo de Denia, hacen felices a los niños y turistas que vienen a visitar el Castillo, son más una agradable atracción para apreciar y tomar una foto de recuerdo. Debemos aprender a vivir en armonía y paz con ellos. No seamos crueles con ellos.  Hagamos de nuestra ciudad un ejemplo de respeto por la fauna y la flora de nuestro entorno.

We ask all the citizens of Dénia to report cases of mistreatment of animals and also birds wherever they are. If you find people or neighbors who want to hurt a bird on the grounds of considering them a pest, don't allow them. Damaging any kind of animal is abuse. We all have the right to legally report, as the local Dénia police also explained.

Seagulls come to our shores to nest, but later, when their young grow and learn to fly, they leave to hibernate in more distant cities, so there is no need to harm or capture them. The seagulls are nice and they give beauty to the Denia Castle, they make children and tourists who come to visit the Castle happy, they are more a nice attraction to appreciate and take a souvenir photo We must learn to live in harmony and peace with them, not in war.
