The Issue

C’mon, it’s 2021. It’s about time to start giving strong women and genderqueer folk a chance at Knighthood. Imagine the inspiration and joy they could bring to little girls in the audience. Little girls who are told they can’t play knights cuz they’re girls. Imagine the power behind a female knight handing a little boy a rose, or an lgbtq woman in the audience.
I’ve met a handful of people who’ve told me they dream of becoming a squire but they can’t because they’re a woman or biologically female. I think this would be a wonderful opportunity for growth for Medieval Times and would bring back some relevancy to the dinner show.
Historically, women would disguise themselves as men to become knights. But today they would no longer have to. Let Medieval Times know we want to see female knights!!!
