Over the course of the past 20 years there have been multiple lawsuits against MediaLabsAI and its branch companies. The apps such as Kik and Whisper are facilitated by predators to exchange CSAM through groups and P2P connections. Although Kik and Whisper is labeled and designed for 18+ there is no KYC upon downloading or sign up making it possible for predators to groom and solicit child exploitation material.
There is little to none moderation. AI is in the MediaLabs Ai name and there is no AI integrated for moderation. Wether it’ll be too expensive or there will be false positives. What I can infer is that MediaLabsAI values the worth of protecting a child’s well-being less than integrating moderation. The parent company MediaLabsAI has around 500 employees to moderate the 110+ million monthly users. It’s clear that the owners care more about lining their pockets than getting predators behind bars.
