Petition updateStop Torturing Chickens for McNuggetsBusted! McDonald’s McNuggets Supplier Convicted of Animal Cruelty

Mercy For Animals
Nov 5, 2015
The owners of a McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets supplier farm have been charged and convicted of criminal animal cruelty following the release of shocking hidden-camera video by Mercy For Animals. The footage (http://McDonaldsCruelty.com) shows the owners of the chicken factory farm stabbing birds with spiked clubs and breaking their necks by standing on their heads and pulling their wings or bodies.
After pleading guilty to these horrific crimes, the owners of the facility were each sentenced to pay just $25 fines and court costs—a pathetic slap on the wrist, unlikely to deter future acts of violence against animals. This is not justice.
That’s why members of MFA have taken to the streets. Joined by “Abby the Abused Chicken”—a graphic, seven-foot-tall chicken with a bloody broken wing, slit throat, and open wounds—they’ve protested outside McDonald’s restaurants in nearly 35 cities. They also delivered over 250,000 petition signatures, including yours, to McDonald’s headquarters to demand the company stop torturing birds. Watch and share the video: http://bit.ly/McDonaldsPetitionDrop.
As the world’s largest restaurant chain, McDonald’s has the power and ethical responsibility to implement meaningful animal welfare standards for chickens. Until then, protests will continue across the country.
