I, along with many of my fellow Pittsburgh community members, fondly remember breathing a sigh of relief on a hot summer day with a Frozen Fanta in hand, sitting on Ronald McDonald bench. For years, McDonald's has been a social hub in our community, a place of comfort made more enjoyable by the presence of Ronald McDonald statues, benches and the delightfully tasty McDonaldland cookies. Today, we no longer see these familiar sights that brought us joy and comfort.

The demand for these items is still high. According to a consumer survey in 2017, it was found that 75% of customers miss the Frozen Fanta and the McDonaldland cookies, while 68% miss the Ronald McDonald statues and benches, proving that this request resonates with a majority of the McDonald’s patrons in our city. Our personal attachment and fond memories are strong indicators of communal nostalgic feelings towards these McDonald's staples.

McDonald's, we kindly but firmly request, as a Pittsburgh community, that you permanently bring back the Frozen Fanta, Ronald McDonald statues and benches, and the McDonaldland cookies to all of your restaurants in our city. These items brought us joy as children and they will continue to do so for many generations to come. We are hopeful that you will consider our plea.
