The momentum continues for McDonald's to add a permanent plant-based item to their ever-expanding menu!
Already we know that McDonald's is in the process of creating a plant-based burger they'll call the McPlant. But late last week, McDonald's and Beyond Meat announced something truly historic.
The two companies have formed a three-year partnership where Beyond Meat will become the preferred supplier for the patty in the McPlant.
But not only that, Beyond Meat will also be working with McDonald's to explore other potential plant-based items for their menu. These could include plant-based options for chicken, pork and egg. That's huge news!
“We are proud to enter into this strategic global agreement with McDonald’s, an exciting milestone for Beyond Meat, and look forward to serving McDonald's as they bring expanded choice to menus globally,” said Ethan Brown, Beyond Meat Founder & CEO, in a press release issued by the company. “We will combine the power of Beyond Meat’s rapid and relentless approach to innovation with the strength of McDonald’s global brand to introduce craveable, new plant-based menu items that consumers will love.”
We are so close to changing McDonald’s menu forever. And that wouldn’t happen without the ongoing support of the 234,000+ people who’ve signed this petition.
