
During McDonald’s annual shareholder meeting, Silvia Lagnado, Global Chief Marketing Officer, ignored 218,000 + customers by responding to our question about plans for a plant-based burger with the contradictory claim,
“We obviously have to assess whether consumer demand [would be at a] level we believe would be sustained and make the right decision based on how the model works and the important complex considerations of our restaurant.”
And after a recent report showed Burger King experienced an 18% increase in traffic during April because of the Impossible Whopper, McDonald’s CEO is still claiming that he needs proof that a plant-based burger will bring in traffic?
