One of the projects I was really excited about was the public broadband project being done in party by the PUD and County in Point Roberts. Even Rick Larsen and Inslee would point at it and pretend like it was progress, knowing full well that there were no real standards set. However, I've learned to hold my applause when it comes to our public institutions as there is always a catch and sadly for the unserved and underserved residents of Point Roberts it's a big one. The good news is that there is a way to save it but it we'll need to demand real results from our institutions to do it. As usual, we'll have to hold them accountable because, like the crooks they are, if we don't they'll steal from us and give it to their buddies in big telecom.
