Happy Holidays! I hope you're all doing well. I took my dog for a walk today around the Boulevard Park area and found many well-marked COB Fiber and Electric access panels as shown in the photo. These panels were very close to the RIPTIDE apartments and every residence on that side of the road. Splicing into them would be a piece of cake yet the COB is refusing access to them. RIght next to a few of them is CenturyLink's pretend fiber service. Remember, as described in the book "Fiber" which I donated to the library, CenturyLink does not have a real fiber service and it's not city or countywide. So the COB Fiber is more accessible, more reliable, already in place, and ready for use. So why is the COB still refusing access to it? It's simple, to protect CenturyLink and to lease it to Verizon instead of allowing safe, direct connections for the people that live right on top of it. If I lived around the RIPTIDE apartments I'd be demanding access to this public resource, that you already paid for as citizens.
