While I sort-of appreciate that the candidates are reluctant to take a hard stand on the oddities that we've seen coming out of public works, since they want to retain an working relationship with them, it's tough to make an endorsement without a commitment from the candidates to look into the odd issues we've seen from the public works directors in relation to broadband and hold staff who have intentionally obfuscated the issue accountable. This would have been done years ago if, for example, public works took completing the inventory of the existing fiber network seriously or writing a Dig Once Policy seriously.
