The city council is going to consider 3 issues pertaining to telecom this Monday. Public commentary is at 7:00pm, we will be holding signs outside of City Hall starting at 6:00pm. Those wishing to speak should be at 210 Lottie St. by 6:45pm to sign up. Municipal Fiber (aka the fiber backbone that already exists and is used by the city and other public services, directly effects the quality of our schools and communications for emergency services and needs to be maintained and expanded), Dig Once (the way to improve all of our services and all of the other things I've listed), and small cell policies for Verizon (here is an article on that, turns out that, unlike they keep saying, our existing network is usable.
