I am very pleased to report that HB-2664 has passed the State House and is now in the State Senate for consideration. This is the bill I've written about before that would help the port bring us services via public-private partnerships. So it's a win! Still, before we celebrate too much we need to note that it's only 1 of 3 things that need to happen to bring us a complete solution via local net-neutral providers. 1. The port expands with the help of HB-2664 and other legislation. There are still internal problems for the port to work out but this is a step in the right direction. 2. The COB approves a Dig Once policy including conduit and fiber. 3. The County does the same as the city. So please, help me keep the pressure up.
