Hooray, we're at over 400 signatures. Every signature brings us closer to a direct meeting with the council, a courtesy already extended to CenturyLink. The March 27th meeting was largely uneventful, so there isn't much to say. In general, we are on the right path and, sadly, much of this is par for the course when trying to get a project like this going. Things Worthy of Note from the meeting: 1. A very talented analyst is finally working on the issue, so all of the positioning we've been seeing largely doesn't matter. Being against Public Fiber is pretty much indefensible, and as we continue to shed light on the issue, that will become more widely known. 2. The meeting was held in a format where people could not ask questions of their government and although relevant questions were submitted to the council, virtually none were asked. 2. None of the information that public fiber experts provided in the December meeting we had with the COB seems to have been disseminated or provided to the council by the mayor's staff. 3. In general, the excuses used were old and unenlightened.
