Update on Side/Back Trash Collection Petition - Zoom Meeting tomorrow, Monday 6 pm

Hi all, we've reached 281 signatures to our petition with over a thousand views and shares in a short period of time.  The Petition will be sent to our town/village officials tomorrow.  A reminder that the meeting to discuss our goal to reinstate back/side of the house trash collection will take place tomorrow evening at 6pm. Anyone can attend this meeting via zoom (links below).  What you can do now:

1.  The petition is still live so please forward to anyone who'd like to see side/back of the house trash reinstated and a comprehensive look at trash collection undertaken.  If you can help gather more signatures by sharing this petition link with other friends or neighbors, it will help make the point that we value the side/back service option and appreciate how it helps keep our streetscapes clean and clear. 2.  The Town of Mamaroneck and Village of Larchmont will hold a joint meeting to discuss this issue which has been set for Monday October 26th at 6 pm and can be attended via zoom or phone by anyone interested.  There is also the option to speak, which I plan to do.  If anyone else would like to speak, you are free to do so.  Here is the notice:

I will also raise other possibilities for overhauling our sanitation collection such as pickup of food scraps/composting using Scarsdale's new system as a possible model we could follow, and other budget saving areas to explore.

My hope is they will reinstate the side/back pickup up option while they comprehensively explore an overhaul to our trash collection.
